Yoga is a great complement for any sport practitioner with many of the benefits being improved strength, flexibility and balance as well as injury prevention.
The repetitive action of running or cycling can cause ingrained patterns around the muscles, hips, spine and the fascia (the body’s connective tissues and cling-film like ‘wrapping’ around the muscles) to tighten – consequently leading to chances of poor running posture and injury. Yin yoga can be of benefit to any sport practitioner in particular because of its capacity to help release this constriction of the fascia.
During this 2-hours workshop we will cover all you need to know and work through the poses so that you can learn and practice at home as well to keep your flexibility, and help to release lower back pain, tight hamstrings and more.
